Foster Guidelines and Expectations

Thank you for choosing to be a foster parent with Kai’s Place! Fosters make a huge impact on the lives of cats who are vulnerable or considered “less adoptable”, and we sincerely appreciate everything fosters do.

To ensure that you understand what is expected of you as a foster, please read through and check “I Agree” on each line.

This animal belongs to Kai’s Place. All decisions regarding the animal will be made by Kai’s Place and not any other party.
Fosters will abide by Kai’s Place preferred methods of care. This includes, but is not limited to, never using claw caps, no leash walks, no excessive food or treats, never letting the cat outside, as well as following any instructions regarding prescription food and medications
Fosters are expected to provide litter.
Prescription food and medication will be provided by Kai’s Place.
Fosters need to let the Kai’s Place know 1-2 weeks before they are going to run out of prescription food or medication.
Fosters must be able to work with the staff at Kai’s Place to have medical procedures performed such as deworming, vaccines and other medical issues that might arise.
If any concerns arise, fosters will follow the guidelines on the emergency contact sheet.
Fosters are expected to maintain current contact information with Kai’s Place.
